I was so excited to hear my name as the winner. Just add water Runner-up: The 3MT final, held on Thursday 12 July, saw two PhD students from each Faculty battle it out to describe the premise of their thesis in under three minutes, in language and style suitable for a non-specialist audience, with just one powerpoint slide. It aims to help students develop their ability to communicate and explain academic concepts in a succinct and effective way, while also providing an entertaining way for the community to learn about the ground-breaking research that UOW students are undertaking.
